What institute to enter? It is a question I have been asked since ninth grade. I was doing light athletics. That is why one of my variant was to enter the Volgograd State Academy of Physical Culture. I could become a coach or a teacher of Physical Education. But this profession is not prestigious. And they have low salary.

I accidentally started to go on courses on chemistry in tenth grade. Later I became interested in chemistry. I chose this subject for the delivery of the unified state examination. I decided to get technical education. So I went to the Volgograd State Technical University and chose the Chemical Engineering Department.

Chemistry is the most important science of materials, their properties, structure and transformations. It mainly deals with the study of interactions between atoms and molecules. Chemistry has many similarities with physics and biology, in fact the boundary between them is arbitrary. Modern chemistry is one of the most extensive among all the disciplines of natural sciences. In my opinion chemistry is a very interesting science. So I want to learn it the best.

Chemical engineering is the science of the methods and means of processing of raw natural materials in consumer products. Inorganic chemical technology include mineral processing, receipt of acids, alkalis, and mineral fertilizers. Organic Chemical Technology is processing of oil, coal, natural gas and other fossil fuels, obtaining synthetic polymers, dyes, medicines and other substances.

Now I'm studying for the bachelor degree in chemical engineering. After that I will get a bachelor's diploma, I want to go to magistracy. I have not chosen on which specialization to go. I think it will be chemistry and technology products of basic organic and petrochemical synthesis with training in research. This direction is very prestigious, because natural energy is widely used in the modern world. For example, our cars are driven by gasoline. Our houses are heated by natural gas. We can not imagine our life without it.

In summer we will do practical work at the factory. Volgograd has the chemical factories such as "Caustic" and "Khimprom". JSC "Caustic" is the largest chemical manufacturer in Russia, the production of caustic soda, chlorine. Volgograd JSC "Khimprom" produces chemical products for industrial use. After finishing the University I can go there to work.

Specificity of the profession a chemist requires attention, accuracy,  precision, discipline, perseverance, patience. Because life and health of other people depend on his work.

The share of chemical industry in our economy today is about10%. This number is constantly growing. Profession of Chemist is of great demand. The specialists of this profile may work in chemical plants and mills for the production of plastics, synthetic fibers and fabrics, fertilizers, educational institutions, the pulp and paper industry, mining and processing, health care, the food, perfumery, etc. As well as a teacher of chemistry and petroleum industry experts can easily find a job. Career started as a machine operator. He handles the installation in a workshop of chemical processes. The successful operation of the chemist to raise the position of the shift, the next step is to engineer.
