The Oil refining plant in Nigeria

The Oil refining plant in Nigeria basic configuration is intended for processing 6 (12) million tones of oil (ЕRHA) to a fuel-lubricant variant. 

       For obtaining high economic efficiency from the Oil refining plant in Nigeria construction to carry out stage-by-stage installation of technological units. 

       The First stage includes the following technological units:

ﾷ   Primary and atmospheric oil distillation unit (ЭЛОУ-АТ-6) where naphtha, diesel fuel and black oil are produced;

ﾷ   Naphtha hydrofining;

ﾷ   Hydrofined naphtha distillation;

ﾷ   Light naphtha isomerisation;

ﾷ   Heavy naphtha catalytic reforming;

ﾷ   Black oil vacuum distillation;

ﾷ   Lubricant fractions selective refining;

ﾷ   Raffinate deparaffination.

The process diagram of the Oil Refining plant First stage with the capacity of 6 million tones of oil per year is shown on fig. 1.

The following products are produced:

ﾷ   Liquefied gas;

ﾷ   Automobile gasoline with ON - 91-95 ;

ﾷ   Diesel fuel;

ﾷ   Industrial oils  (lubricants) ;

ﾷ   Motor oils (lubricants) ;

ﾷ   Fuel oil. 

       Due to the Oil Refining plant First stage with the capacity of 6 (12) million tones of oil per year realization target fractions and there refining will be provided with the minimal set of manufacturing (production) facilities that will allow to reduce investments. 

       The Second stage of the Oil Refining plant includes black oil deep refining, hydrogen production, diesel fuel hydrofining, and also increases the capacity of existing processes. The basic block diagram, including I and II stage units, is shown on fig. 2.  

The Second stage of the Oil Refining Plant includes the following units:

ﾷ   Diesel fuel hydrofining;

ﾷ   Heavy vacuum gasoil,  extract and naphtha from visbreaking unit Hydrocracking;

ﾷ   Visbreaking;

ﾷ   Hydrogen production unit;

ﾷ   Sulfur production unit .

After the Second stage of the Oil Refining Plant construction the following products will be achieved:

ﾷ   Liquefied gas;

ﾷ   Automobile gasoline with ON - 91-95;

  Diesel fuel according to Euro - 4 and Euro – 5 requirements;

   Aviation kerosene Jet A-1;

   Industrial oils (lubricants);

   Motor oils (lubricants);

   Sulfur;

   Fuel oil. 

       Due to the Oil Refining Plant Second stage  the depth of oil refining (up to 90 % of oil weight) and higher quality light products to be obtained.

In case of building an Oil Refining plant with the capacity of 12 million tons per year the secondary processes and products rectification will be carried out in one technological line.

The balance and product quality will be submitted after predesign research.
