of her childhood in foster homes, Monroe began a career as a model,
which led to a film contract in 1946.

persona was used to comic effect in many films.

at the Actors Studio to broaden her range.
The final years of
Monroe's life were marked by illness, personal problems, and a reputation
for being unreliable and difficult to work with.
The circumstances
of her death, from an overdose of barbiturates, have been the subject
of conjecture.
In 1999, Monroe was ranked as the sixth greatest female star of all time by the American Film Institute.

He was born in 1979
in Perth, Western Australia.
After performing roles
in Australian television and film during the 1990s, Ledger moved to
the United States in 1998 to develop his film career. His work encompassed
nineteen films.
In addition to acting,
he produced and directed music videos and aspired to be a film director.

Heath Ledger had got many awards through all his life (28 years), but what’s the most interesting is that Ledger received numerous accolades for his critically acclaimed portrayal of the Joker in The Dark Knight, including:

death, on 22 January 2008, he had completed about half of his work performing
the role of Tony in Terry Gilliam's film The
Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.
Ledger died in January
2008, from an accidental "toxic combination of prescription drugs".
A few months before his death, Ledger had finished filming his penultimate performance, as the Joker in The Dark Knight.
